Our Dream

This dream started some 28 years ago when my parents took the family on vacation to T- Lazy 7 Ranch in Aspen. I was merely 10 years old but the memories of the horseback ride to Maroon Bells (and the cookies served at lunch!), catching trout in the trout pond, the sound of Maroon Creek babbling continuously without pause and the crisp morning and evening air…(in August!) never left me. You see, I was born in the Caribbean and grew up in Florida, so the site of the mountains, streams and Aspen trees was like a foreign land to me, but I knew then that I loved it. I was fortunate enough to have parents that would take me on many more mountain vacations. We visited Steamboat, Breckenridge, Lake Tahoe, Park City, Copper Mountain and Vail to name a few. They all were wonderful in their own way, but none lived up to this valley that was ingrained in my memory, The Roaring Fork Valley.

Fast Forward 21 years and I couldn’t think of a better place to ask the love of my life to marry me. Whitney and I got engaged at Crater Lake under the majestic Maroon Bells. Whitney and I have made it a priority to come back to this place we hold so dear to us as much as possible. My profession, as a Real Estate Broker and Investor, has afforded us the ability to visit for a couple months a year and it is never enough. Aspen/Snowmass is a place that clears our mind, lets us think bigger, lets us pay attention to our environment, our health and our marriage all while enjoying countless activities and events that this valley offers. After vacationing over the last years in Snowmass we decided during our summer trip in 2017 that is was time to pull the trigger and purchase a piece of property, in our now, Home away from Home. After looking for a few months we decided on The Ridge in Snowmass, as it was everything we wanted and more. Three bedrooms with views of Mt. Daly and Snowmass Resort, the easy walk to Assay Hill to ski and hike, the convenience to the grocery store and other amenities in town as well as the short picturesque drive into Aspen for shopping, dining and general people watching were just some of the reasons it was perfect.

While visiting Snowmass we have made it a point to participate in as many of the activities the area offers as possible. We are both avid snowboarders and in the winter we try to ski every day we are here. We have skied Bear Bottom and Bull Run at least 300 times and still go their first!. In the summer we have both fallen for fly fishing in the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork rivers. Both are Gold medal Waters and world renowned for their trout size and population. When not in the rivers we can be found playing golf at Snowmass Club, Ironbridge or River Valley Ranch, hiking one of the hundreds of trails in and around town, driving up Independence pass to the Grottoes for a swim or bouncing around Aspen sampling hors de oeuvres and cocktails at the plethora of restaurants Aspen has to offer. It is said you can see or do something different every day of the year for over 5 years here in the Roaring Fork Valley. I call it a grownups playground!

We hope that your experience is as wonderful as ours has been for the last 28 years and the memories are a vivid and longstanding as we have experienced. Enjoy our Home, Roaring Fork Ridge.
